Our agency is always looking for Special Event Volunteers.   These individuals are the people that help out and make our events as successful as possible.  Special Events Volunteers help out with the following activities/events.

Bowl for Kids Sake: Bowl for Kids Sake is one of the largest fundraisers for our agency.  For this to be successful we need volunteers to help out at the Strike Zone the day of.  For more information about the 2008 Bowl for Kids Sake visit our BFKS Website under events.

Annual Raffle: Each year our agency holds a raffle.  This raffle is one of our agency's largest fundraisers.  Prior to 2006 our agency raffled off a Harley, from 2006-2008 our agency raffled off two Yamaha ATV's and a tilt deck trailer.  In 2009 our agency tried something new with the $30K Cash Giveaway.  With 22 cash draws it was the perfect way to celebrate our agency's 30th Anniversary.  All we need is for you to come and sit at the table for a couple hours.  Shifts are two hours and we have shifts seven days a week primarily during afternoons and evenings.  Volunteers must be 19 years of age or older and must have a completed Criminal record search with the agency.

Recruitment Booths: Throughout the year our agency holds recruitment booths at various events and venues around town.  We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to sit at our booth and help us spread our message

Fund Development/ Community Activities: Throughout the year our agency works with community partners to hold smaller fundraising or community development activities.  Events over the past year include BBQ's, facepainting at Cougar Games, Poker Rides, Tip for Kids at Boston Pizza and Jumpstart Day at Canadian Tire.
