Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George is pleased to facilitate an exciting program offered by the Canadian Tire Foundation for Families, Jump Start. Jump Start is a community-based charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in physical activities such as, hockey, dance, soccer, swimming and many others; for more information visit www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart/. Eligible children and youth do not have to be participants in our mentoring programs in order to be eligible, all funds are allocated on a first come first serve basis, funding is limited.  Children and youth between the ages of 4-18 are available for funding to participate in one physical activity to the maximum of $250 annually, anything over this amount is the responsibility of the parent.

CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS 

FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FALL/WINTER SESSION AUGUST 20th, 2012.  

In order to be a recipient of Jump Start funding you must:

1)    Complete enclosed application form, ensure organization is willing to accept Jumpstart funding

2)    Return to our office with a copy of invoice showing total amount and contact name and organization mailing address via mail or drop off

3)    Funds allocated based on first come first served

4)    Once you received a call from us, you need to register your child in requested sport activity and bring the invoice with exact amount back to the office

5)    Upon approval the organization will be paid directly
