1) Contact our office at 250-563-7410 or click here to book your first appointment with one of the Mentoring Coordinators.  This appointment is your interview and can last for a couple of hours. 

2) Please read the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George Orientation Package. Then you may print the mentor application form and, once completed bring them with you to your interview.

Criminal Record Search
(Needs to be submitted prior to coming in for your interview.  This search is FREE of Charge and needs to be taken to the RCMP Office located on Brunswick Street - across from the PG Public Library)

Application Process
The application process to become a mentor is generally the same regardless of the program.  If you would like to become a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George, you may begin by:

•  Filling out the Mentor Application above and contact us at 250.563.7410 to talk to someone about setting up your first appointment. Also if you are able please go down to the RCMP station and fill out a Criminal Record Check or you may get one from our office at your interview.           
•  The interview will occur in-office and will cover personal information, suitability      and motivation for becoming a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George.
• Suitable applicants are required to attend the Child Safety Training which includes information concerning safety issues and abuse awareness (sexual, emotional, physical, and neglect).  There is also training specific to the volunteer's program of interest.
• Volunteers applying to be involved in the Traditional/Couples program will receive a home visit at this point.
• Finally, successful applicants will be notified as to their acceptance into the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship programs.
